What is your Return Policy?
1. Return Window & Eligibility
  • Timeframe: You have 30 days from the date of receipt to initiate a return.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or order number is required for all requests.
2. Fees & Shipping
  • Restocking Fee: Returns due to "change of mind" are subject to a 20% restocking fee, which is deducted from your refund.
  • Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for paying all return shipping fees. It is recommended to use a trackable service (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
3. Damages, Defects, & Issues
  • Damaged/Defective Goods: Must be reported within 7 days of delivery with photo/video evidence. Shorestead will provide a replacement or a full refund.
  • Lost Packages: If an order does not arrive within 3–5 business days, contact support for an investigation.
  • Incorrect Items: Contact support immediately to arrange an exchange for the correct product.
4. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Custom or personalized products.
  • Gift cards (valid for 1 year).
  • Perishable or sanitary goods (unless unopened).
5. Refund Process
  • Approval: Refunds are only issued after the item is received and inspected.
  • Timeline: Once approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • Cancellations: Full refunds are available if you cancel within 24 hours of order placement (provided the item hasn't shipped).

Important Assembly Notes
  • Floats Sold Separately: This is a hardware-only kit. To complete your floating dock, you will need to add Howell™ or Titan™ Floats to your order. (See "Frequently Bought Together" below).

 

  • Lumber & Decking Not Included: To give you total control over the final aesthetic of your dock—and to save you thousands in heavy freight shipping fees—wood is not included. This gives you the freedom to source your preferred surface locally, whether that is budget-friendly pressure-treated pine, premium western red cedar, or zero-maintenance composite.

 

  • The Shorestead Shopping List: We take the guesswork out of your lumber run! Upon purchase, you will receive a complete Shorestead Lumber Requirement Checklist detailing the exact number of 2" x 6" boards you need to pick up from your local hardware store to complete your chosen frame size.

 

  • Anchorage Sold Separately: Because every lakebed and tide system is different, anchoring chains, weights, or mooring pilings must be purchased separately based on your specific waterfront conditions.
